Hole layout
- 1 Corner mounting holes. The plate screws to the furniture body through these. They are slotted, so the plate still seats correctly if the holes in the body are a few millimetres out.
- 2 The four holes the leg bolts into, in a 2 × 2 pattern and countersunk (cone-shaped mouths). The screw head therefore finishes flush with the plate and the leg sits flat against it.
- 3 Side notch. It leaves clearance where the plate meets a load-bearing rail or a corner profile, so nothing fouls.

What angles is the leg mounting plate produced in?
Options can be produced for both perpendicular and angled connections. Tell us the angle at which the leg meets the body and we can identify the right type.
Why not screw the leg directly into the body?
Direct screwing concentrates the load at one point; in chipboard and MDF bodies especially, the screw hole widens over time, the leg loosens and the body cracks. The mounting plate spreads the load across a wide surface and prevents this.
What material is the leg mounting plate made from?
It is made of steel, protected with an electrostatic coating. We can manufacture in different sizes, angles, materials and surface treatments to suit your project.
Does the plate hold the leg at a fixed angle?
Yes, the mounting plate fixes the leg at the specified angle, and the lateral forces of sitting do not push it out of that angle. If a different angle is required, it can be produced on a project basis.
